Feel like a nut?

Like a nut? When confronted with unexpected moodiness, a little jingle often comes to mind. "Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't!" It’s a good jingle to recite when confronted with someone's unexpected mood; on the one hand, identifying the mood and, on the other, trying to pry it out and, perhaps, help it go away.

Think about it. Most of us have moods; some on a regular, almost predictable basis– others unpredictably. Whatever the case, moodiness is something we all struggle with.

God’s Word tells us: “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation." With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation” (Isaiah 12:1).

We can’t help but give God the praise that dwells within us–that which can’t be contained. It's the love that makes us "feel like a nut," giving us the ability to fight off the "times that we don’t." Those around us are depending on us to touch them with that "nuttiness" as we praise our Lord. As praise is contagious, it only takes one "nut" to start it and everyone benefits.

“I pray today in Jesus name for the ability to spread the praise of God that is within every Christian when confronted by other’s moods that need a bit of refreshing. It’s a ‘nutty” faith that gives life its flavor. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
