Fear not? Thinking too much about something can often lead us to doing nothing about anything! While it is always advisable to put thought into everything that we do, it is inadvisable to think too much, leaving no room for action. When we allow too much time to debate, indecision becomes the rule and our fears take over.
Think about it. The first step in conquering your fears is to learn to trust God and simply be ready to do the work. Another critical step in the path is learning to keep things in perspective. When we forget that God is in control of every situation in our lives, we quickly lose perspective on both the importance of our fears and their size.
God’s Word tells us: God’s Word tells us to cast our cares upon the Lord and put our confidence in him (2 Timothy 1: 3-12).
Life’s problems will never go away; there will always be reasons to fear. We can control the situation much better however, if we decide ahead of time to avoid being indecisive. The fires of fear burn hot enough without our indecision adding more flames to the fire.
“I pray today in Jesus name that each of us take on a decisive nature when it comes to confronting our fears in this life, big and small, so that the Holy Spirit may dwell richly within our hearts.” Amen!”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
