Draw closer?

Draw closer? “Dear Lord, please give me this or that.” God is okay with us asking for things, He expects us to ask Him for whatever we wish to ask Him for. The fact is that often He doesn’t give us what we ask for. What do you do when God is silent? Or do you return in prayer to ask Him what it is that might be hindering Him from responding to your requests?

Think about it. It’s God’s will to give you what you ask for. Prayer is all about relationship building and not just asking. When our relationship with God is strained or missing, our prayer is empty and hollow.

God’s Word tells us: “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect” (Matthew 5:48).

That was key to us getting what we want, depends on our relationship with God. Seek that relationship with Him today; ask Him in prayer what you need to do to draw closer to Him. You may find that in the drawing will come the reward.

“Heavenly Father, sometimes I get so lost in my life and during these times, I wish I knew You more. Help me to grow closer to You in understanding. I want to hear your voice and let you guide me. Draw closer to me. Ignite a spark in my heart to have a personal relationship with You. In Jesus name. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
