Double-minded peace? How important is it to be double-minded, being able to see in two directions at the same time? Confronting fear can bring opportunity, and failure may lead to success. Sorrow often yields joy. Despite life's pressures, happiness lies in seeing beyond the sorrow in hopes of the happiness that sorrow may have covered.
Think about it. God has never promised blue skies and a path blanketed with flowers. Does He promise us, however, enough strength to challenge each new day?
God’s Word tells us: “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalms 22:1-8).
Peace often follows pain. God promises sympathy and understanding for our daily mistakes. To see His blessings, we must look beyond ourselves, being double-minded. While recognizing our problems isn't sinful, God wants us to rise above them, knowing He guards us. Despite sorrows, goodness and love await those who seek the light beyond darkness.
We pray: “Heavenly Father, in our pain, help us see beyond ourselves, understanding Your unfailing love. Guide us to rise above our problems, knowing You guard us. Though sorrows may surround us, may we find Your peace. In Jesus name. Amen!”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)
