Divine Landlord?

Divine Landlord? God is clear in who owns what; He does. Everything we possess is really on a divine, lending program. He lends, we lease. Sin is at work in our lives when we focus on owning, possessing and becoming the things that God has allowed us to use. God has always advocated denial of possession as the route to true happiness, not devotion to ownership.

Think about it. Is He is saying that we give up what we have, dedicate it to Him and He, in return, will allow us to enjoy that which He has by grace allowed us to have?

God’s Word tells us: “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities…” (Colossians 1:16).

The fact is this: God gives and He takes away. His shadow is bigger than your ownership. Keep an open door to the Divine Landlord who gives each of us lease to what we have and always reserves the right to evict at a moment’s notice.

“Heavenly Father, Your infinite power, sovereignty, and knowledge are working together for my good. I am humbled that I am known and loved by You and that You have granted me all I possess. Thank You for revealing Yourself to me and drawing me into Your eternal Kingdom. In Jesus name. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
