Crossing the bridge?

Crossing the bridge? Worrying about things that haven’t yet happened is like that chair. You can put a lot of effort into the process but, in the end, when you finish you’ll be right where you started. It really doesn’t pay to anticipate life’s problems.

Think about it. What does your anxiety do? It does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, but it does empty today of its strength. It does not make you escape the evil; it makes you unfit to cope with it when it comes.

God’s Word tells us: “I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread” (Psalm 37:25).

God gives us the power to bear all the sorrow of His making, but He does not guarantee to give us strength to bear the burdens of our own making such as worry induces. I don’t know about you but putting a lot of effort into getting somewhere and finding out I got nowhere in the process is pretty depressing. When it comes to dealing with the really hard things in life that tend to make us worry, it’s always better to wait till we get there to worry about crossing over.

“I pray today in Jesus name that when we are faced with those moments in life that cause us to worry as to how things might turn out, we let go and forget about worrying. God knows, and that’s all that really matters.” Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
