Crash and burn? Years ago while preparing to leave a family camping trip, I noticed the truck's left front tire was a bit low but dismissed it. About twenty miles into the drive, the tire failed, forcing me to replace it in the rain on the roadside. Had I inspected it before leaving, I would have avoided all the hassle. No doubt I learned that ignoring potential issues only leads to greater problems later.
Think about it. Taking care of life’s potential problems when they first become apparent will often lead to a great savings of time and effort down the road. It may even prevent an even worse outcome?
God’s Word: “Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: 'Give careful thought to your ways’ (Haggai: 1:5).”
Many of us crash and burn daily, ignoring warning signs. We feel pressured to keep pushing, often overlooking the risks. Despite good intentions, faulty reasoning leads to burnout. The Bible warns of “expecting much that turns out to be little.” Today, take time to fuel up on God’s Word. Preparing now can prevent future crashes and help you avoid falling short.
We pray. “Heavenly Father, help us to give careful thought to our ways. May we reflect on our priorities and align them with Your will. Grant us the wisdom and understanding to make choices that honor You and lead us toward a fulfilling life in Your presence. In Jesus' name. Amen.”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matt 6:34)
