Choosing?

Riches or fame? We live in a “choosing” culture. We have so many choices every day. Choice is certainly a blessing; especially in the culture that we live in today where there are so many things to choose from. However, choice can sometimes get us into trouble.

Think about it. Choosing things indiscriminately can cause us to sin and fall short of the mark God has set for us. Like with all the materials things in life, God also gives us the freedom to choose our friends.

God’s Word tells us: “Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?” (James 2: 5).

Riches and earthly blessings are not a sign of God’s blessings and approval. God promises neither riches or fame to anyone. He promises only Heaven for those who are faithful to Him. Fact is, the only thing that God really promises is that we WILL suffer for our faith and that we should be ready to die for it. Both rich and poor share in this promises equally.

. “I pray today in Jesus name that we understand the God blesses both poor and rich with the same opportunity—to glorify Him in praise and thanksgiving, no matter wealth or riches.. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
