Burn on?



Burn on? I’m passionate about campfires, especially since we camp often. I've discovered a critical point in every fire where it can be seen as “half-empty” or “half-full.” At this juncture, the fire may go out or rekindle with a poke or shove. Recognizing whether the fire is almost dead or ready to thrive is key, as it determines whether to stoke it or add more wood. This insight reflects important choices in many areas of life.


Think about it. Our lives are like a campfire; we can either experience burnout or reignite our energy. Whether we need rest or professional help often depends on our perspective.


God’s Word: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things (Philippians 4:8).”


When we feel burned out, we must determine if we’re a smoldering fire needing attention or a promising flame ready to rekindle. This distinction relies on our attitude. Focusing on a heavenly perspective rather than earthly struggles brings hope and reminds us that if we think we can, we likely will, leading to a more fulfilling life filled with new possibilities.


We pray. “Heavenly Father, help us discern whether we are smoldering or ready to rekindle our spirits. Grant us a heavenly perspective amidst all our earthly struggles, and inspire us to embrace hope, believing that with You, we can thrive. In Jesus' name. Amen.”


“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matt 6:34)
