Blanked of His grace?

Beneath life’s blankets? Is it wrong to want more than we need? Is it unchristian to have things that we could do without? God does tell us in Scriptures that we should ask or we will not receive. Jesus tells us in Matthew 21:22: "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Is it right to ask for more, that which is greater, or things that are rewarding?

Think about it. We should confine our prayers to the things that we need to sustain us: our "daily bread." God will do the rest without our prompting. Praying for more might make us proud. Praying for less might make us prone to sin.

God’s Word tells us: Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me” (Proverbs 30: 7-9).

When we nestle in our thankfulness in need, resting secure in the hope of deliverance, God will grant that need. As we rest within the warmth of His grace, those blessings we did not ask for will surely become the blanket that covers our lives.

. “I pray today in Jesus name that when we are in need of thing beyond our daily bread, we consign these needs to God and rely on Him to cover us with His grace and provide us when He wishes. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
