Being busy and being tempted?

Being busy and tempted? In today's fast-paced world, the saying "If Satan can't make you bad, he'll make you busy" holds weight. The enemy often uses busyness to divert us from our true purpose. While busyness can masquerade as productivity, it can lead us away from God's path, hindering our spiritual growth.

Think about it. When we're constantly busy, do we risk neglecting our relationship with God, because we are spending less time in prayer and studying His Word?

God’s Word tells us: "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8).

We counter Satan's schemes by prioritizing our relationship with God. By setting aside time for prayer and reflection, we invite God to guide us. We learn to discern His voice amid the noise, ensuring our busyness aligns with His will. Let’s not be deceived by the allure of busyness. Let's seek first God's kingdom, trusting Him to order our steps and provide rest for our weary souls.

We pray: “Heavenly Father, Grant us wisdom to prioritize You above busyness. In prayer and reflection, guide us to discern Your voice amidst chaos. May our steps align with Your will. In seeking Your kingdom first, grant us rest. In Jesus name. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)
