Be still?

Be still? As a multitasker, I juggle tasks, planning one while handling another. It's a thrill, a game of efficiency. Yet, the rush to accomplish often leaves little room for slowing down. Like building steam, I'm compelled to keep moving, unable to pause. Despite its productivity, multitasking comes with its own pressures.

Think about it. While this does get the work done, it seldom leaves time to collect my thoughts and find valuable downtime.

God’s Word tells us: “He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth (Psalms 46:10).”

Stillness is challenging for the constantly moving. We often overlook the essential for the immediate, missing out on understanding life's origins and potential. Today, pause from busyness, spend ten minutes in silence with God. Embrace stillness; He may be waiting to bless us. When troubles arise, remain calm, knowing God is in control.

We pray: “Heavenly Father,  in our hustle, help us find stillness. Let us not overlook life's essence in pursuit of the immediate. Grant us moments of silence with You, where Your blessings await. In trouble, grant us calm, knowing Your control. In Jesus name. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)
