Asking why?

Asking why? Ever noticed how Jesus often taught through questions? He cared about the "why" of things, prompting reflection and understanding. By questioning, He encouraged learning, leading to faith and obedience. For us it is no different. It all begins with questions, leading to deeper knowledge and a clearer path to God's will.

Think about it. As a Christian I believe it’s good to ask questions of our Heavenly Father. God not only expects our questions, He often prompts them to help us discover truth.

God’s Word tells us: “Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him? Let him who accuses God answer him” (Job 40:2).

Life is fleeting and all life, even that of one’s closest and most cherished loved ones, belongs to the Giver of Life, God the Father Almighty. Asking “why” is never wrong. That only leads us to the truth. It’s asking “why not,” contending with the truth and challenging God for the truth, that gets us into trouble. Never be afraid to ask “why.”

We pray. “Heavenly Father, In the fleetingness of life, we recognize Your sovereignty as the Giver of Life. Grant us the courage to ask "why" in our search for truth. Help us to accept Your wisdom and guidance. May our inquiries lead us closer to You, our source of eternal truth and understanding. In Jesus name. Amen.”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34
