All over again?

All over again? A successful marriage involves falling in love repeatedly with the same person. I fell in love with my wife, Holly, the first time I saw her smile. Every time she smiles, I relive that moment, remembering why I fell for her. Despite life's challenges, her smile makes me fall in love all over again.

Think about it. I’m convinced that it’s the little things, like a smile, that we need to keep fresh in our marriages. They may be simple, but they are the tie that binds and keeps a marriage fresh.

God’s Word tells us: “Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth (Proverbs 5:18).”

The Bible says our marriages are blessed when we remember what first brought us together. Simple things like a smile or a wink can rekindle love. When did you last share one of those  defining moments with your spouse? Today could be the perfect day to start falling in love all over again.

We pray. “Heavenly Father, help us remember the simple joys that first brought us together. Let smiles and winks rekindle our love each day. Bless our marriage with renewed affection, deep understanding, and the grace to fall in love with each other over and over again. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)
