All bets are off?

All bets are off? There’s something intriguing, even attractive about pushing our luck. We idolize people who wrestle with crocodiles and take life to the extreme. In many ways these people have become our new heroes.

Think about it. We live in a generation where “messing around” with extreme danger has become fashionable. Life just isn’t “real” unless we explore its extreme limits?

God’s Word tells us: “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (1 John 2:15-16).

Jesus Christ left this world to do something for us in addition to atoning for our sins? Think about it. He has gone to prepare a place for us. Christ is away and He is preparing a place for us in heaven. He may return–at any time. If He finds us messing around with the things of this world, all bets might be off.

“Heavenly Father, You are Holy. You are the blessed and only Almighty God, the King of kings and Lord of lords. You alone can never die, and You live in light so brilliant that no human can approach You. No one has ever seen You, nor ever will. To You be honor and power forever, In Jesus name. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
