Afraid of Christmas?

Afraid of Christmas? As Christians, many of us are just fed up with the secularization of Christmas. For years we’ve put up with Kris Kringle, elves, holiday shopping sprees, Black Friday, Grandma getting run over by a reindeer, and, of course, Jingle Bells.

Think about it. It almost makes you want to cringe from Thanksgiving afternoon until New Year’s Day. Who knows, perhaps the day is coming when Christmas commerce will overflow November and creep right into October?

God’s Word tells us: “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord" (Luke 2: 8-14).

Ultimately, we need to ask ourselves this fundamental question. Do we really want to reform Christmas? Is it really all about greed or is it, intrinsically, all about love? So let the message ring out this Christmas season, no matter what anyone does, nothing can destroy this day. Christmas is too powerful to be destroyed. It will always come out on top; because the message of Christmas is so compelling; it can be no other way! Merry Christmas!

. “I pray today in Jesus name that in our anxiousness about the real meaning of Christmas we never place our feelings above the love that so many share on this very special day. Amen!”

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34) www.thispassingday.com
