A matter of time and purpose?

A matter of time and purpose? As a child, did you ever play unfairly—pranking a friend or being rude to someone who trusted you? The natural result of such behavior was often rejection, sometimes even from our closest friends. When we acted unjustly, it led to hurt feelings and a sense of being rejected. It was a painful reminder that unfairness can push others away and leave us feeling the sting of isolation.

Think about it. Being blindsided by rejection, especially without understanding why, can be the most painful. As Christians, how should we respond to such "unfair" rejection?

God’s Word: “Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing  (1 Peter 3:9).”

Life is full of unfairness, and when we focus too much on what went wrong or the injustice we’ve faced, we risk missing the opportunities that often follow rejection. Rejection by those we love and trust is painful, but if we accept it with humility, we can trust that God will eventually turn that hurt into favor. It’s all a matter of His timing and purpose for our lives.

We pray: “Heavenly Father, when faced with unfairness and rejection, help me to trust Your timing and purpose. Teach me to respond with humility, knowing You can turn hurt into blessing. Open my eyes to the opportunities You bring, and strengthen my faith in Your plan for me. In Jesus name. Amen.”

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matt 6:34)
